Discovering New Therapies

The Raymond G. Perelman Center for Cellular and Molecular Therapeutics is dedicated to the understanding, development, and application of gene and related cell and nucleic acid therapies and the promotion of professional and public education in the field. The Center fosters a multidisciplinary approach among researchers and scientists working to discover new gene and cell therapies in search of cures for debilitating disorders.

About

The Raymond G. Perelman Center for Cellular and Molecular Therapeutics (CCMT) is under the direction of Dr. Beverly Davidson, a leading investigator in the field of gene therapy. By uniting a diverse group of researchers with expertise ranging from blood disorders such as hemophilia to degeneration of the brain in Huntington’s Disease, the CCMT continues to be at the forefront of translational studies.

Labs

Raymond G. Perelman CCMT hosts a number of research laboratories that focus on areas such as gene transfer therapy, immunology, stem cell and protein biochemistry. All faculty members work closely with each other in optimizing resource usage, ensuring academic excellence and clinical relevance.

Cores

The center has established three core units that are crucial for both basic and translational researches in gene and cell therapies.
